Jazz™

Jazz™ is an exciting new apple variety with bright orange-red stripes over a yellow background and has sensational flavour. Jazz™ is a cross between Royal Gala and Braeburn, and was bred naturally by HortResearch at Havelock North, New Zealand. It is firm and crisp, juicy, and sweet with an acid zing. Jazz™ is harvested about one week before Braeburn.

The ability of Jazz™ to maintain its quality in storage is exceptional.  Its firmness makes Jazz™ inherently resistant to bruising which, combined with the extremely low level of internal disorders and rots, ensures that a quality product with minimal defects is delivered to the market.

The size of Jazz™ fruit is typically small, being similar to Gala.  Jazz™ is a long storing apple that offers the opportunity to provide consistently high quality fruit for consumers.
